
Expectations:

1. Be prepared for class every day
2. Make sure you bring the following items to class every day:

Completed homework (put on the corner of your desk when working on warmup)

Binder (organized using dividers)
-
Pencils (sharpened before the class starts)
-
Calculator (or you may use the one assigned to you from the class set)3
3. Follow the instructions on the board and be in your seat, ready to learn, before the bell rings
4. Respect the rights and property of others in the classroom
5. No talking while others are speaking, especially the teacher - it is impossible to follow instructions when you don’t hear them!
6. When the bell rings, wait for me to dismiss you – the bell does not dismiss you, it reminds me to dismiss you!
7. No one leaves the classroom until:

All calculators are returned
-
All trash is picked up
-
Desks and chairs are returned to their original position
-
Give your best effort every day, no matter what!

Absences:
​
1. If a student is absent it is their responsibility to make up all missed work
2. All class notes, completed class notes and assignments can be found on the class website or in the box named " mailbox" located on the back of the classroom
3. Due dates will be extended one day for every day the student is absent
​
Leaving the Room During Class Time:
1. Use the restroom before class
2. Do not ask to use the restroom during the mini lesson, wait for worktime time
3. If you need to leave the room during class time (restroom, nurse etc) you must sign yourself out in the binder, then sign yourself back in when you return
4. Your name, destination, time out and time in must be accurate and legible or you will lose the privilege of leaving the room during class time
5. Only one person may leave the classroom at a time

Cell Phones and other electronic devices:
1. No cell phone, iPod, Apple Watch, or tablet use during class time without permission
2. Phones must be on silent or turned off during class time
3. Use of electronics at inappropriate times will result in the device being taken away

1st Time: handed back after class with warning.

2nd Time: Parents have to pick it up from school

3rd Time: Parents have to pick it up from school and the meeting with the dean will be scheduled
-
4th Time: You will lose privilege of bringing the phone to school until the end of the school year

Calculators:
1. Calculators are school property - respect it - you are responsible for the one you use
2. All calculators must be returned before class is dismissed

If your calculator isn’t working properly, or needs new batteries, please tell me immediately












Supply list:

1. 1 inch binder, loose-leaf paper, and graph paper
2. Pencils, highlighter
3. Ruler
4. Index cards!
